Permissions

As we are filming in my summerhouse, there wasn't anyone to get permission from, however just to be absolutely clear, I text my mum to make sure we could film on the given days we have decided on.

Risk Assessment

We have identified the risks of the shoot and who's responsibility it will be to reduce the risk of any potential accidents.

StoryBoard Animatic

This was an animatic version of the story board we created to test our titles, where they would appear and how many we used. It should be noted that these are not the actors, location, soundtrack or foley that we will be using for the final film. This was a test of titles, we have since created our final track which can be found on the blog.

We have started the day at 11am to allow travelling time, we will have everyone in costume, props ready, scenes set and camera ready to begin filming at this time. We will spend Friday night setting up the summer house, laying the carpet and hanging pictures and cloth on the walls to make it appear like a family home. We decided it would take longer to set up for the family home so this will be filmed first, there are only seven shots throughout the opening sequence using the family scene so we've anticipated only 3 hours to shoot useable footage for this. We also chose the Saturday for this purpose as Aiden, the child used, lives with his mum and goes home on Sunday's, and Kate will be using bus transport and the buses vary on Sunday's. From two PM on Saturday we will take the carpet away and strip the walls to create the derelict building effect, making sure the chair from the family shots is in exactly the same place for editing purposes and from 2 till 6pm we will shoot the hostage situation however we've anticipated needing the sunday to film this as well. We decided to film on the 12th and 13th as they are dates no one has conflicting issues with and it gives us longer to edit.

Call Sheet

This contains all the contact information needed for both the production company (lexicon films) and the actors we are using.

Soundtrack

When playing about on my piano I created a riff that would work perfectly as a soundtrack to our film. This is the experimental version, the real version will be recorded with the bass notes and higher notes over lapping.

- Aimee

Aimee showed me the soundtrack she created and I thought that it would be appropriate for our opening sequence as it creates a suspenseful atmosphere. It also ties in with the family scenes because the riff swaps between creepy and edgy to soft and happy.
